Design ethos
At clear breeze | design, the message is important. I believe that for a design to be a success, the design element must enhance the message. If the look and feel is inappropriate, the result becomes disjointed and the message is lost within a confused and negative impression.
Understanding both the words of the message and the client's image is key to clear breeze | design's approach. The information a client wishes to promote is essential and the image portrayed needs to complement this information. Anything that clouds that message and detracts from the true purpose of the project, is surplus to the requirements. This approach becomes essential when applied to web design. In the world of the Internet, download speed, legibility and accessibility are essential elements to the visitor. If a site is slow to download, difficult to read and navigate then the message becomes obscured.
Therefore, I endeavour to capture the essence of a client, the impression they wish to convey and the purpose of the project through the look and feel of the website. The message then becomes obvious and clear to both end user and client alike.
Just because I use words like 'simple', 'usable', 'clear' and 'appropriate' doesn't mean we create unattractive websites. Take a look at my portfolio and see how websites can be designed and built to fulfil this ethos and my client's varied requirements.
